Overview
SpaceSift is a photo and video cleanup app for iPhone and iPad. It finds duplicates, similar photos, blurry shots, old screenshots, and large videos so you can remove them and free up storage. This page explains how SpaceSift handles your information.
Data Collection
SpaceSift does not collect personal data.
Everything runs on your device. The app does not:
- Collect personal information
- Upload, transmit, or share your photos
- Track your location
- Use analytics or tracking services
- Connect to external servers
- Require an account or login
Photo Library Access
SpaceSift needs access to your photo library to find duplicates, similar photos, blurry images, screenshots, and large videos. All analysis runs on your device using Apple's Vision framework and PhotoKit.
Your photos never leave your device. The app reads photo metadata and pixel data only for local analysis.
Data Storage
All data is stored locally on your device:
- Scan Results: Photo groups and cleanup suggestions are stored in a local database on your device. This data never leaves your device.
- Deletion Records: When you delete photos through the app, a record of the space saved is stored locally for your dashboard. No photo content is retained.
- Settings: Your preferences are stored locally using your device's standard settings storage.
Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data. Deleted photos remain in iOS's Recently Deleted album for 30 days, managed by the Photos app.
Third-Party Services
There are no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs in SpaceSift. The app does not collect data.
This website loads the Inter typeface from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com). Google may log your IP address in connection with serving the font files. This is governed by Google's Privacy Policy and is outside the control of SpaceSift.
Depending on your device and platform settings, Apple may process limited device and usage information in connection with app distribution and optional diagnostics. This processing is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy and is outside the control of SpaceSift.
Children's Privacy
The app does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children under 13 years of age.
Changes to This Policy
This policy may be updated from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
Your Rights
Since the app does not collect any personal data, there is no personal data to access, modify, or delete from SpaceSift's systems. All your data remains on your device under your control.
If you are located in the EU or EEA, you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Because SpaceSift does not collect or process personal data, there is no data for us to provide, correct, or erase. If you have concerns, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority. In Norway, this is Datatilsynet.
